Devised process reengineering plans and progression/platform strategies for client companies, focusing on B2B web sites, personalization and content management systems.

Directed up to 10 concurrent projects through team of 16 business analysts and project managers in 5 Midwestern cities. Personally managed portfolio planning and process engineering for key clients.

One of four founding members of company, providing technology and business management leadership from startup through successful $52 million IPO and clinical trials. Participated in senior staff development of regulatory and business strategy with responsibility for budgets and administrative oversight of product development. Appointed Corrective Actions Manager and Reliability Team Leader by CEO.

Negotiated service contracts with vendors for touch screens and displays, OEM computers, power supplies, content management systems, contract manufacturing, board houses and design consulting for electrical, software and user interfaces.

§         Recruited and directed electrical, software and systems engineering teams in $100 million product development of Personal Hemodialysis (PHD) devices from concept to market roll-out and 510K approval.

§         Grew multidiscipline product development teams from 1 to 40 engineers. Created initial technical/managerial progression matrix for Engineering, delivering software and electronics for pre-production system.

§         Established process to meet FDA and ISO requirements and ensure timely product approvals.

§         Directed team in defining requirements and overall program plan for second-generation product through direct communication with physicians, nurses and technicians.

§         Led team and protocol development on PHD system original animal study. Devised therapy process and protective system designs leading to FDA Investigational Devise Approval.

§         Oversaw prototyping of remote nurse’s station, a PC software system used to monitor multiple PHD systems from a central location.

§         Delivered software and electronic sensors for proof of concept prototype, producing $1.5 million in second-round financing. Served as key technical interface with underwriters during IPO process.

§         Guided system level design on Home Choice™, an automated peritoneal dialysis hardware system. Created prototype touch screen interface.

§         Served on cross-functional 5-year Technical Plan development team. Key contributor to concept development and implementation of major upgrade to existing hardware product line.
